The Fisherman's Villas

The Fisherman's Villas is a four-star villa in Shark Bay & Sai Daeng, Koh Tao, with a private pool at every villa. Set on the island’s quieter south-eastern coast, it is 2.6 km from Koh Tao town centre and has sea views, outdoor lounge spaces and self-catering kitchens. Four villa types range from 80 to 250 m², with layouts for groups of up to six people.

Each villa has air-conditioned bedrooms, a private bathroom and a kitchen equipped for cooking, including a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and utensils. The rooms also have balconies, patios or terraces, with pool and sea views. Some multi-bedroom layouts place a suite upstairs and connected rooms below; in two villas, downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. A full-service dive shop operates on site, and speedboats run snorkelling trips around Koh Tao.

Breakfast and other meals can be ordered from island restaurants and delivered to the villa, with payment made directly to the restaurant. Free transfers to and from Mae Haad are provided for arrivals and departures, and free private parking and WiFi are available. Pets are allowed, with charges possibly applying.

There are four villa types, measuring 80–250 m², with room capacities ranging from four to six people. Every option combines a kitchen, private pool, private bathroom, air conditioning, sea and pool views, and outdoor space with a balcony, patio or terrace. Kitchens include cooking equipment, a refrigerator and microwave, while coffee machines and dining tables feature among the available fittings. The self-catering setup is complemented by outdoor furniture and barbecue facilities.

The internal layouts distinguish the villas more than their shared features. The largest has a master bedroom beside the pool and two connecting bedrooms downstairs, while the 100 m² villa has an upstairs suite and two connected lower rooms. The 80 m² villa has two en-suite bedrooms; the 95 m² option is arranged around an upstairs suite. Some downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom, so arrangements vary by villa.

Outdoor living is a central part of the villa setup: facilities include private pools, balconies, patios, terraces, a sun terrace, outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area. Barbecue facilities, sun umbrellas and loungers or beach chairs complement the outdoor spaces. Inside, the self-catering kitchens have a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, kitchenware and dining table; a minibar and tea and coffee maker are also provided.

Activities include snorkelling, diving, fishing, hiking, walking tours and on-site water sports. Yoga classes, massage and spa treatments are available, alongside shuttle service, bicycle rental, a tour desk, concierge service and luggage storage. Free private parking and complimentary WiFi are provided. Pets are allowed, with charges possibly applying. Internet services, cable channels, a telephone and accessible parking are also available.

The villas stand in Shark Bay & Sai Daeng on Koh Tao’s south-eastern coast, above a quieter cluster of coves rather than the busier Sairee strip. Sai Daeng Beach is 150 m away, Shark Bay Beach is 500 m away, and Ao Thian is 650 m away. Guests describe a short walk or stairs down to Shark Bay for snorkelling. The property is 2.6 km from Koh Tao town centre, with the surrounding coast known for small bays and reef-fringed swimming spots.

Koh Tao has no airport, and ferry passengers arrive at Mae Haad Pier on the west coast. The villas are about a 15-minute drive from the pier, with complimentary transfers provided for arrivals and departures to and from Mae Haad. Island pick-up taxis connect the pier and coastal villages; scooters are another way to travel, although roads to some bays such as Ao Leuk can be steep. Free private parking is available on site. Snorkelling and diving are the main pursuits around this coast. The property has an in-house full-service dive shop and speedboats for snorkelling trips, while Cindy's Tower, 850 m away, and Sun Suwan Viewpoint, 900 m away, are nearby lookouts. Ao Leuk is 900 m away, and The Terrace at Jamahkiri Resort & Spa is 450 m away. The south and west coasts are generally the calmer side from November to March; February to April is usually Koh Tao’s driest, calmest period.
